Umar Syyid

Co-Founder, EVP & Chief Technology Officer

As a respected business and technology expert, Umar Syyid leads the development of cutting edge software products for Primatics Financial as their Chief Technology Officer as well as is one of the original co-founders of the company. His diverse background, spanning over 13 years, includes work in computer engineering and software development across the commercial real estate, finance and telecommunications sectors.

At Primatics Financial he has built and currently manages The Evolv Suite. In this role he has been actively involved in enhancing both the functional and system capabilities and has also played an instrumental role in assisting Primatics Financial clients with the implementation of the Evolv Suite. Mr. Syyid also constituted and currently oversees Primatics Pakistan, an offshore development facility that provides additional capabilities to Primatics Financial in the areas of software development, systems and acceptance testing. The Primatics Pakistan team was built with a focus on finance and is unique in the region for its in-depth understanding of the complex accounting for the financial services industry that Primatics Financial caters to.

Prior to forming Primatics Financial, he headed up engineering at an internet startup focused on improving the commercial brokerage industry in the retail sector where he was responsible for architecting and building an online presence that was leveraged by several of the largest retail REIT companies in the US. Preceding that he held a position at Hughes Network Systems where he was involved in the development and application of distributed software components to the embedded software space.

Umar holds a graduate degree in Computer Science from the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign and an undergraduate degree in Computer Engineering from NED University, Karachi Pakistan.
